MANAGEMENT VISION
CYCLE FACILITIES
The development will have extensive cycle facilities with storage facilities for 2 841 (Phase 1: 644) bicycles These will take three forms including Sheffield stands and and stackers to to maximise the number of spaces All cycle stores will be be access controlled and exclusively for residents The stores will be in the basement areas We assume access control will enable the Estate Management team to to monitor and manage usage As part of the the design we would like to explore whether
any form of workshop area – equipped with basic tools air pumps and washdown station – will be provided within the development In our experience these can prove useful and provide a a a centralised point for residents to to use In addition to to reducing damages unsightliness etc to the development We note there will be a a a a separate cycle lift located by the the vehicle access access gate The lift will be accessed from the ground floor / main street and ensure separate access for cyclists so they do not have to use the the same ramped car park access as motor vehicles We are mindful of potential damage that could be caused when accessing the cycle facility We would wish to review the plans in in fin more detail to assist in in fin proofing potential areas where damage might occur As part of the the wider strategy for the the development we will promote the the use of of bikes advising customers of of the the facilities and look to share the the details of local cycling groups on the the portal As part of our community engagement we will explore offerings from local bicycle suppliers that will promote cycling across all age groups at the development Where appropriate we will link with the school to promote cycle safety awareness
