Transporter Talk No 143
want to encourage any of our members who would like to volunteer to do so. Involvement can often be done from home. For example, discount manager, publicity coordinator or web manager. Some may involve travel and camping, such as camping coordinator. You could become a general committee member until a suitable o ce arises. In all cases a telephone and internet connection will be needed, as I hope to move to having more “on line”, rather than physical meetings during the year. All are voluntary positions for enthusiasts who are prepared to spend a few hours in a month to support our club. Expenses for travelling and other costs can be claimed when necessary and of course we will meet the costs of exhibiting at shows that have been selected by the committee.
This process has already started with the appointment of new magazine editors and the latest TT is a great improvement. Many new or revived features will be incorporated
in the coming months, but we need YOUR help so please send in those letters, articles on any VW camper related subject, photographs, recipes, for sale or wanted ads and anything that will be of interest to our members.
I want to nd out what our members actually want from our club and I wish to involve members in our club activities. I believe the needs of our membership have changed since the club started 25 years ago and we need to nd out what you like or dislike about VWT2OC. If there is something you would like to change then you could consider joining the committee! Applications are always welcome, just email me with your details and ideas.
Well that’s the introduction nished so as this is the last TT this year, I will wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
