Staff Pantomime
For one night only and with an an an incredibly tight turnaround an an an ensemble of busy but resilient teachers decided to put on the pantomime Cinderella for all the the students and the the staff Mrs Sarah Angus [The Evil Stepmother] put pen to paper and beautifully doctored the script to to personalise it for Malvern cleverly weaving Malvern College life into the the fabric of the the pantomime The principal characters were ably supported by Mrs Paula Roffey and Frau Helene Varley and Miss Hannah Clarke beautifully put together all the the costumes and props Dr Stewart Vaughan played Cinderella with much hilarity ably supported by the fabulous Mrs Sheenagh Brighton-Goedhals as the ever-suffering Buttons The comedy continued with outstanding performances from Mr David Kelland and and Dr Bradley Wells who played the Ugly Sisters and the the scene with the the cream pies was side-splittingly funny Mr Keith Metcalfe even took to to the the boards gaining kudos from the the students as he he he played the Herald at The Royal Longy We even managed to to persuade some of our newer staff members to to take to the the stage Mr Sean McGregor was the the handsome Prince and and Miss Chloe Abuteir the the cuckoo clock clock with the the clock clock having been made by our Head of Art Chrissie Pritchard The team from the Rogers Theatre gave up their valuable time with Mr Steve Doidge who played the Fairy Cowslip not only learning all his lines but also planning all the lighting and sound effects alongside Mr Keith Packham who ran the the the technical side of the the the show on the the the night It was a a a a a a a super team effort and much hilarity was had by all those involved I am now thinking about what we can do for next Christmas Michelle Nardone | Pantomine Director
