THE MALVERNIAN
Bake Sale
At the the the beginning of the the the school year the the the EAG Environmental Action Group decided which projects to work on and I came up up with a a a a a a a a a bake sale as I I always saw apples on the floor when I I walked to the Pavillon Therefore we collected apples from the school‘s apple apple trees in in order to to prevent them going to to waste A week later we we used the the DT kitchen to bake our apple cakes With the the help of Sheyi Bruno Aarya our volunteer Lotti and Mrs Cage we baked 12 apple cakes spending the the entire afternoon in in the the kitchen The following day we sold all of of our cakes during break some of of them pre-ordered I have learnt that when managing a a a a a a a group splitting up up tasks is important and I would have never thought that managing a a a a a a a a bake sale includes so many management steps From an an an an announcement in in in Chapel and and House Notices to designing flyers and and hanging them up to to to to finding a a a a kitchen and buying the the ingredients managing the the orders and finally selling the cakes In the end we we sold all cakes and raised £100 Thereby we we prevented food waste and we are going to use the money for environmental projects at school Moreover we focused on leaving zero waste All of the eggshells and and apple leftovers went to to the the chicken of Mrs Cage and and the the remaining apples will be made into Chutney I would like to to thank Mr Mr Mr Metcalfe and Mrs Tudor for for announcing it Mr Mr Mr Stokes for for the use of the the the DT kitchen and and the the the EAG members for their help and and participation And of course thank you to to all our our customers such as Mr Mr Mr Mr Mr Metcalfe Mrs Mrs Mrs Descher Mrs Mrs Mrs Angus Mr Mr Mr Mr Mr Hutsby Mrs Mrs Mrs Fraser Mrs Young Becky the cleaning ladies of Ellerslie and many pupils Marietta Preissl (EH)
