METHODOLOGY
The following section outlines the methodology employed in the booklet, which is a combination of
primary and secondary research via four main steps:
The first step involves compiling a list of potential industries that we believed were potential and
relevant for VinUniversity students. Once we identified 14 industries of interest, we conducted thorough
research to come up with 134 companies in those industries, using various sources, such as industry
reports, business directories, and company websites, to ensure the inclusion of diverse company and
organization types, from startups to research institutes to big corporations.
In order to refine the initial list of companies and identify the top 50 ideal career opportunities for
VinUniversity students, we have developed a rubric consisting of five main criteria. Each criterion is
assigned a weightage based on its importance in assessing the company’s suitability. The criteria and
their weightages are as follows:
