EXTERNAL ENGAGEMENT
External Engagement (EE) Department is in charge of establishing and
developing lasting relationship between VinUniversity and its academic
and corporate partners. In addition, the Department manages several
VinGroup-sponsored programs, notably the VinGroup Science and
Technology Scholarship Program for Overseas Study for Master’s and
Ph.D. Degrees.
Regarding Academic Engagement, EE reached 05 agreements on
academic exchange and cooperation programs in education and
research, including student exchange, faculty exchange, visiting scholars,
and joint research with Cornell University, Seoul National University,
Yonsei University, Western University (Canada), and the University of
Technology Sydney (UTS). About 20 annual exchange opportunities
will be given to VinUni students as the result of these agreements. In
addition, EE worked with Cornell and UTS to establish the Study-Away
Program for students from these universities to study at VinUni during
the Covid outbreak.
With Corporate Engagement, through lasting exchange relationships
with esteemed companies and organizations, VinUni aims to equip
students with valuable, distinctive internship and employment
opportunities that help broaden their experience, professionalism,
and networking, as well as enhance their employability. To that end,
the Corporate Engagement efforts were met with great success as
VinUni has established partnership with leading companies such as EY
Vietnam and One Mount Group, and several employers and research
institutes within the VinGroup ecosystem, namely Vinpearl, VinMec,
VinBigdata Institute, VinAI Research, VinBrain, and VinHMS. Thanks
to these agreements, more than 100 internship positions have been
created and offered to CBM and CECS students right from their first
undergraduate year.
"EE aspires to become an effective opportunity enabler exploring
a wide variety of potential activities from the outside world that
are mutually beneficial and align with VinUni long-term strategic
goals. In the first-ever academic year, EE has focused on setting
up foundational collaborations with highly-regarded domestic
and international partners."
