Show respect to one another at all times.
Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
Follow directions the first time they are given.
Do nothing to hurt another person physically or verbally.
Walk in the hallways and to and from busses.
These rules apply at school, at school events, and while riding the transportation system
to and from school.
Consequences for misbehavior may include the following:
Conference with the student/parent
Removal of privileges
Time-out in the office
Community service (in school)
In-school suspension
Out-of-school suspension
Expulsion
Special Subjects and Activities Grades 4 & 5

All drivers should limit their speed to 10 m.p.h. on East Woods property for the safety
of the students.
Testing and Assessment
Testing and Assessment
The state of Ohio requires all students in grades 3-8 to take assessments in reading and
math (annually) and science and social studies (in identified grade levels). Ohio’s assessments
are developed by Ohio educators and a research firm AIR. Ohio has been using AIR for
over fifteen years.
As with every other Ohio school district we must follow the state requirements in regards
to assessment. There has been much discussion in Columbus and Washington DC regarding
