Barbara G. Bishop

Barbara G. Wilson was born December 24, 1943, to Richard and Laurett Wilson, in Los
Angeles, California. She was the third of six children to this union, with siblings; Bennie,
Willie, Richard Jr., Evon, Curtis and a half sister, Doris, who lived in Texas.

Barbara was raised in Watts, California, where she attended Union Baptist Church with her
Family. She lived in Watts most of her young life, attending Grape Street Elementary,
Markham Junior High School, Jordan High School and finally getting her diploma from
         Manpower Adult School.

While attending Jordan High School, she met and later married, Johnny Bishop. During their
union, they had two daughters, Arnesia Bishop and Teresa Bishop. They later divorced for
         irreconcilable difference.

Barbara was a great mother, that was her specialty. She loved all her children, as well as her
nieces and nephew, which she treated like her own. Because she had a great love for family,
she had four more children; Bertrell Hall III, Talonce Hall, Malinda Freeman and Wendy

Walker-Stinson, all which were special to her, in their own way.

It the early 1980s, Barbara chose to re-establish her relationship with God, so she became a
member at Crenshaw Christian Center in Los Angeles, California, under the Apostle Frederick

K.C. Price. From then on, she devoted her time working as a Home Healthcare Provider and a
Campus Aide at 92nd Street Elementary. Her passion was spending time with her
grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She also enjoyed reading her bible, cooking, listening to
         music and dancing.

Proceeding her in death, is her loving daughter, Lisa “Teresa” Bishop; her father and mother
Richard and Laurett Wilson; two sisters, Doris Clayton and Evon Payen; and two brothers,
Richard Wilson Jr., and Willie Wilson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her siblings: sister, Bennie La’Neir and brother, Curtis
Wilson (wife, Kristine); her children: Arnesia Bishop-McNeil, Bertrell Hall III, Talonce Hall,
Malinda Freeman and Wendy Stinson (husband, Isiah); Grandchildren: Bertrell IV, Sharlene,
Carlene, Emmanuel, Markie, Meghan, Jessica, Destiny, Alante, Angel, Charles, Elizabeth

Mila Hall, Dash Wilson, Avery Murphy, Lisa Murphy, Kenneth Smith, and Elena Murphy; a
host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Family Members and Friends.
