I keep expecting you to call me and tell me it was all
some sort of sick joke, that you are alive and well. But I know deep down
that is not how this is going to work. I think most of all I want you to
know how much you meant to me. I do not know if I said it enough dur-
ing our friendship, but I really hope you knew that.
You helped me through so many issues in my life and I am forever
grateful for that. I truly hope that everyone gets to experience a friend
like you. I wish I could have the opportunity to tell you that more.
I wish I could have stopped this from happening. I keep going through
everything in my head trying to think of ways I could have prevented
this from happening, but I know I could not have. I wish I had the su-
perpower to turn back time just so I can get one more opportunity to talk
to you, tell you everything I all love about you, and tell you how much I
appreciate you. You were, and still are, so loved by many. Even though
you are not here anymore, you will always be in my heart. You were
such a special person and I hope you still know that. There is a secret that
only real friends know, and it is this… All the mountains and valleys in
the world cannot separate friends whose hearts are as one. The world
will change from year to year, our lives from day to day, but the love and
memory of you shall never pass away.
“I hope your dancing in the sky
And I hope you’re singing in the angels & choir
And I hope the angels know what they have
I bet it's so nice up in heaven since you've arrived.”
Love,
Your Forever Friend Carmella
Tabs,
I realize that we are all on assignments from God and we come into each other’s lives for a reason, a
season, a lesson, a blessing, and/or a lifetime. You were all of those for and to me. The reason we
met, was thanks to Adae’za (Dottie), for hiring me to coordinate your wedding. Over the years we
stayed in touch throughout the seasons, checking in on each other along life’s journey. I am glad you
took my advice the day you called me to ask if you should skip work to go audition for Mary J Blige.
We prayed and talked through many life lessons and praised through the testimonies. During the
past few years you have blessed me beyond measure and I pray I have been able to do the same for
you in return. Your heart is as pure as gold, your smile lit up every room your were in, your hilarious
quotes kept laughter and joy in the atmosphere and the love you gave was unconditional. I am so
honored to be a part of your Sista Circle; you are one of a kind and once in a lifetime.
I love you SistaGurl!
