S abrina Markos

Our Beautiful Sabrina Markos was born, Sabrina Baptiste on December 7, 1955, to Elouise

and Lowell Baptiste Sr. in Los Angeles, California. Sabrina was born with a Special Blessing,

her contagious personality. Always smiling, happy and looking out for the underdog. She

never judged and always turned a negative into a positive. She was everyone’s advocate.

Growing up, we always teased her about being one of Mama’s smartest children and getting
her to help us with homework because she always knew the right answers. Well, she kept that

reputation.

She attended and graduated from South Gate High School. She furthered her education by

receiving her Associates degree from Los Angeles Community College. Some years later, she

decided she wanted her bachelor’s degree which she did receive from Walden University. She

made herself very proud. She often spoke about going even further soon to achieve her master’s

degree. I bet right now there is an angel in Heaven preparing to get her master’s degree.

Sabrina was a hard worker, she loved keeping herself busy and facing many challenges only to
conquer them all. Any employment she accepted had to involve helping someone, it was in her

blood to nurture and assist people to be all that they can be.

Sabrina worked 7 years at University of California, Los Angeles and loved every moment of it.

Later she was employed at Aurora National Life Assurance company for several years where

she once, again passionately helped people. If you were on the other end of that call, consider

yourself very lucky.

Los Angeles Unified School District was Blessed to receive her presence as she was employed

with them for 6 years.

After taking a break due to health issues, she came back even stronger with bigger goals of

helping teach and mentoring the younger generation. She worked with Jumpstart Foster
