Hi Baby Aunty happy 75th birthday!

I hope you have a joyous, safe and healthy year ahead. I was initially going to

write about all the wonderful memories prasan and I had growing up (of which
there are many) and all of your amazing recipes (dried potato chips, gulab
jamun, eggless cake… the list is long), but thought more about the enduring

impact you've had on us. As I get older and reflect on my personality and what

I value in people, I'm struck by how that has been influenced by people from
my childhood. Your (and Peripa's) seemingly endless affection for prasan and
I, and grace in the face of prolonged adversity are among the most meaningful

influences I've had.

I don't remember my bout with typhoid and malaria (I'm sure it was

unpleasant), but I remember vividly, your visits during that time to spend time
with us doing arts and crafts. That is a perfect example of your limitless

generosity and affection for both of us. On your 75th birthday, as you reflect
on your accomplishments and memories, do not discount the happiness and

joy you've given prasan and I.
