Table Activities (25-30 minutes - 5-8 min at each station)
Split group in to 4 smaller groups (ask teacher to organize groups ahead).
Allow students to do activities at each table (resources for materials and supplies on page 40).
Rotate tables with a whistle or by blinking the lights – depending on time and size of groups allow 5-8 minutes at

each station.

 Table 1: Bees and beekeeping: observational beehive, microscopes with bee parts, beekeeping equipment,
bee photo posters, jars to catch bees in.
 Table 2: Honey tasting: five varieties of honey, UC Davis honey tasting wheel, toothpicks, garbage can, wet
wipes, honey frame in a case, honey education poster.
 Table 3: Beeswax candle making: beeswax, wicks, beeswax candles and bars, plastic foundation, small bags,
crayons, stamps, stamp pads.
