On December 1st 1955, she made a minor decision that changed her life forever and shaped the course of history in the United States. Miz Rosie Chapman will be here for an educational performance on the life and legacy of civil rights leader, Rosa Parks.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM Be a deer Biologist!
Join Holly Vaughn from DNR Wildlife Division for a fun and interactive lesson focusing on Michigan's state mammal! We'll go over some basic biology of the white-tailed deer and the finer points of deer aging. We'll talk a little bit about chronic wasting disease and bovine tuberculosis, and how you can help the DNR fight these insidious diseases. Finally, we'll teach you how to age a harvested deer, and we'll even do a practice deer aging “test!”
We recommend joining the fun at the start time. We may not be able to accommodate those who arrive more than 15 minutes into the activity.

maple Syrup Workshop with international Guest Speaker troy linton
Do you like maple syrup? Then this is the event for you! Appreciate the flavorful history of maple syrup in Michigan while you taste and enjoy different types of syrup. Learn how to infuse different flavors with natural ingredients from an authentic Canadian maple syrup aficionado. Guests will get an 8-ounce Mason jar to fill with syrup and add infusion ingredients such as blueberries, cinnamon sticks, pumpkin spice, jalapeños, orange peels, strawberries, ginger, thyme, lemon and more!
