SUNDAY, OCTOBER 27 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM mythbusters: halloween Animals
Are owls really wise? Are bats really blind? Come learn the truth behind some of our most misunderstood animals. We'll play some wildlife trivia, observe animal features up close and have an opportunity to make something to take home with you. All activities will focus on popular animals of Halloween.
We recommend joining the fun at the start time. We may not be able to accommodate those who arrive more than 15 minutes into the activity.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 3 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM reg pettibone's Authentic Native American program
Reg Pettibone, a full-blooded Native American and champion pow wow dancer, from the Ho Chunk Nation, and his wife will present a true understanding of Native American culture through dance, song, and stories. This performance has both educated and entertained audiences throughout the United States. Audience participation and an artifacts display is also included.

Presented by the National Museum of the Great Lakes, this fascinating program will explore a brief history of shipping on the Great Lakes that lead up to the impressive Edmund Fitzgerald. She had an exciting life during the 18 years that she sailed, often carrying record breaking loads. Her loss on November 10, 1975 still puzzles many to this day. We will explore several of the prevailing theories on her loss. Stop by our interactive table before the presentation for a chance to win the book "The Edmund Fitzgerald: Song of the Bell" by Kathy-Jo Wargin.
