 2019 Drinking Water Quality Report
 Volume XIX • Issue 2
Spring/Summer 2019
Drinking water surpasses all water quality standards
Clinton Township is pleased to inform you that we have surpassed the water quality standards required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the State of Michigan's Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ). As in past years, the Township continues to provide safe, clean and good tasting water to all of its residents.
Public Participation
You have a right to know where your drinking water comes from and what's in it. The federal government’s Safe Drinking Water Act is intended to ensure safe drinking water, and requires public water systems to provide customers with an annual consumer’s con dence report outlining water quality. Clinton Township’s report is based on data from the previous year, and is mailed to residents each year. Additional copies are available at the Civic Center, 40700 Romeo Plank Road.
The 2019 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report will inform you about where your water comes from, its treatment process, and how it compares to the standards set by regulatory agencies. The report describes the source of our water, lists test results, and contains information about water and health. We intend to provide you with an understanding of drinking water quality and to heighten awareness of the need to protect our precious water resources. For more information on the speci c testing results, please see the water quality tables and de nitions provided on the following pages.
We hope this report addresses any concerns you might have about your drinking water quality. You can nd additional information on the Great Lakes Water Authority web site at glwater.org, and the City of Mount Clemens web site at cityofmountclemens.com.
If you want to ask questions about the report, you can do so by attending a Clinton Township Board of Trustees meeting, held every other Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Civic Center. For a schedule of upcoming board meetings, go to clintontownship.com/township-board.
