SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 23 10:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. Beekeeping Basics
Interested in becoming a beekeeper? Brian Peterson, founder of Bees in the D, will guide you through the basics of beekeeping. You will learn about honey bees, different hive designs, placement and set- up of hives, beekeeping equipment, and proper hive maintenance.
We recommend joining the fun at the start time. We may not be able to accommodate those who arrive more than 15 minutes into the activity.

Rosie Chapman always knew she wanted to be a teacher/actress. As an English major and theatre minor, Bluffton University afforded her the opportunity to perfect her skills as an actress. For the past 20 years, she has graced audiences in Scotland, Australia, Germany, Canada and all over the United States.
Her one woman shows portraying Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Rosa Parks, Coretta Scott King, Madame C. J. Walker, Marian Anderson, Maya Angelou and Mary McLeod Bethune are unforgettable. All ages enjoy her delivery of folktales from around the world.
Through audience participation, Rosie’s "edutainment", combining educating, entertaining, involves her audience in a performance that tickles the soul, warms the heart and stimulates the mind.

SUNDAY, MARCH 3 2:00 – 3:30 P.M. Career Day – Wild for Wildlife
Have you ever wondered what types of jobs DNR workers take on and the responsibilities they come with? Meet some of the DNR’s finest employees at our very own Career Day — just like the one you used to have in school. This session will introduce ecology and take a dive into how we observe wildlife and help manage it. There will be a 30-minute meet and greet following presentations. School groups are encouraged to attend!
