Employee Spotlight – Matthew Jointer
Matthew Jointer
Matthew Jointer has been with the Outdoor Adventure Center for 18. Matthew has helped our staff to learn the best ways to host our guests on the exhibit floor; he provides important support for many of our special events.
Matthew is a life-long Detroit resident. He graduated from University Prep Science and Mathematics High School, where he participated in varsity basketball and track and field.
Matthew’s proud parents are Daisy and Sammy. He also has two sisters, Jessica and Christina, and two brothers, Alex and Nathaniel.
Mr. Jointer attends Oakland University, where he studies business administration. In addition to his work at the OAC he is a supervisor for the Healthy Kidz program and works out of the newly opened, Tindal Recreation Center. When he is not working
or studying, Matthew is an athlete who loves running and basketball.
When asked about a favorite memory from his time here, Matthew recalled working one of our first weddings. He loved the excitement and fun that came with helping our bride and groom celebrate their special day.
We think Matthew Jointer is a special part of our team and we appreciate his hard work and leadership.
