SATURDAY, JUlY 27 2:00 – 3:30 p.M. Hiking the Paper Trail
Here is your chance to combine the two worlds of hiking and origami! Join us as we hike through Milliken State Park with various stops and origami folds along the way eventually creating an origami crane for you to take home! Each stop will introduce you to a native Michigan tree followed by a brief discussion of its historical, economic, and wildlife significance to our region. We recommend joining the fun at the start time as we may not be able to accommodate those who arrive more than 15 minutes into the activity. This hike will be wheelchair friendly.

SUNDAY, JUlY 28 2:00 – 3:30 p.M. Urban State Park Day
Join us in celebrating our first “Urban State Park Day” as we host an outdoor photo gallery (weather permitting) in addition to an Urban State Park wide scavenger hunt. Stop by our urban adventure table at the OAC to grab some info to help plan your next DNR urban state park adventure!

SATURDAY, AUGUST 3 11:00 A.M. Get Hooked on Fishing!
Try your luck right here at Milliken State Park! All equipment, bait, and instruction included. A fishing license is required for adults age 17+ to be able to fish. All children under the age of 17 can fish for free with adult assistance.
