SOIL MAPPING OF HORTICULTURE ZONE, KALAKOTE


        Nutrients Status of Soil in respect of Kalakote Zone of District Rajouri as per the analysis of Soil Samples
        randomly taken from different villages of the Zone. The following observations have been received from the

        Soil showing fertility status as low or high, fertilizers dose shall be increased or decreased accordingly by
        25% of the general recommendations by SKUAST-J.             :-
            ►Always Use balanced dose of fertilizers.
            ►For organic produce, use Integrated-Nutritional Management (INM).
            ►For improving the soil structure and texture, apply well rotten FYM and Vermi compost as
        Recommended                             by                         the                         SKUAST-J.
        As per soil analysis, topography and climate of the area , following fruit crops are recommended which can
        give good result in Kalakote Block :- Citrus,Mango, Ber, Pear etc.
