An Interview with Barbara Anna Zielonka

There are so many rewards in the field of teaching foreign languages, and it is a
wonderful feeling when your efforts are appreciated. The Global Teacher Prize does
exactly that - it is an award presented annually to an exceptional teacher who has made
an outstanding contribution to their profession. The prize aims to emphasise the
importance of educators and how their efforts deserve to be celebrated and
acknowledged. Barbara Anna Zielonka, an EFL teacher who has integrated technology
in her classes, was one of the 10 finalists for 2018 and is sharing her experience,
thoughts and projects with Christina Giannikas, our Events and Development
Administrator, and our members.

Christina​: Hello Barbara Anna and congratulations on your amazing accomplishment
on being one of the Global Teacher Prize finalists!

Barbara Anna​: Thank you very much, Christina!

Christina​: Thank you for taking the time to share your inspiring journey with us! We are
especially happy to see an English language teacher specializing in educational
technology in the list of finalist. How did you feel when you heard you had made the list?

Barbara Anna​: I was over the moon. It is one of these moments I will never forget. ​I feel
very humbled and honoured to be one of the TOP 10 finalists.
