2019 HIGHLIGHTS SUMMARY
40 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE
CALEA recognized 40 years of providing professional credentialing services in the field of public safety accreditation in 2019. This milestone was celebrated during several conferences occurring during the year with presentations about the history and advancements of the organization. Additionally, the staff orchestrated the creation of a special corporate branded logo, produced an informational video, and provided anniversary conference bags, challenge coins and other relevant memorabilia.
ACCREDITATION MANAGER CERTIFICATION
Accreditation Manager Certification recognizes those whom have demonstrated the capacity to successfully manage accreditation and have been an asset to the broader accreditation process within the public safety industry. Seven managers were awarded
this professional certification during the CALEA Conference occuring in Huntsville, Alabama, in May 2019 and 11 were recognized for the accomplishment during the Northern Kentucky CALEA Conference taking place in November of the same year.
2019 CASP RECIPIENTS
18 RECIPIENTS IN 2019
The CALEA Accreditation Support Program (CASP) provides financial assistance for public safety agencies seeking accredited status; however, are financial unable to participate without substantive support. This program is for qualifying agencies in the initial accreditation process.
Five agencies applied under the CASP and five agencies received assistance.
