I went into hospital on Sunday

To have an operation
On my ear and my nose
I’ll be in hospital for a few days
I suppose.
In Ward C
I think I’ll be.
The next day – a Monday
I think it was
The nurse came to my bed
She woke me and said,
“Come along, Nicola,
You’re going to the theatre
So take off that frown
And put on your gown.”
