P. 5
(b) The Quadratic Function is a function whose graph is a parabola. The
general form is f(x) = ax^2 + bx + c, and a ≠ 0.
(c) The polynomial function is a polynomial function to the power of n,
and n is a positive integer. The function can be expressed as f(x) =
anxn + an − 1xn − 1 +. . . + ax + 1.
(d) Logarithmic function. The logarithm functions available are only
base e (ln), base 10, and base 2. Logarithmic base 10, the command
is f(x) = lg(x), base e is f(x) = ln(x) and base 2 is f(x) = ld(x).
Geogebra Implementation
a) Determine the length of the side and the angle of inclination
Determining the slope of the stairs in the GeoGebra application can
be used to visualize the Pythagorean theorem by calculating the
square of the size of the hypotenuse equal to the sum of the squares
of the right sides.
Geogebra display with the Pythagorean theorem
b) Determine the size of the angle on the wall clock
By using GeoGebra, determining the angle becomes easier, by
inputting the wall clock in the form of an image, then using a
segment to make two lines, then using angle to determine the angle.
