About the author

Nam Cao (October 29, 1915 – November 28, 1951[1]) was a

Vietnamese writer, poet, journalist and also a soldier and

martyr. He was a great realist writer (before the August

Revolution), a resistance journalist (after the Revolution), one

of the most prominent writers of the 20th century. Nam Cao

made many important contributions to the completion of the

war. improve the style of Vietnamese short stories and novels in

the first half of the 20th century.
