was a creative attempt to recreate the major
events of the great Indian epic—Valmiki’s
Ramayana.
Principal-DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra
along with other dignitaries graced the
occasion.
Art, music, dance and drama encourage
imagination in students, allowing them to
think and express their ideas and emotions
independently. The children enacted a dance
drama with great passion, enthusiasm and
breathed life into the multiple roles on the
stage.
Students of class I enacted some major
scenes from Ramayana in a scintillating skit
motivating children to be a light in someone’s
life on Diwali. The audience also saw a few
glimpses of Lord Rama’s life.
The young singers from grade Nursery to
Class I enthralled everyone with a rendition
of the group song ‘Aayi Diwali’ which
mesmerized the audience. The program ended
with a beautiful “Aarti” followed by a pledge
taken by them to celebrate clean, green and
cracker free Diwali. The spark of the program
was the warm wishes extended to everyone by
the tiny tots of Pre - Nursery.
All in all, it was a great effort put up by
the students, and a wonderful experience for
everyone.
Diwali celebrations illuminated everyone’s
heart with joy and fervor. The celebration
comprised of a bunch of exhilarating
activities for the students. The students from
Pre-Primary Block unfolded their creative
