are final with no refunds, but a waiting list will be maintained. Tickets can be purchased starting July 30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 to 11:30 AM in the Arts and Crafts Room.
Recent and Upcoming Meetings: June Meeting Recap:
The June meeting featured Dr. David Purificato, a history professor at Indian River State College, who captivated the audience with insights from his American History research.
July Meeting:
On July 10, Dr. Matthew Ericksen, an orthopedic surgeon, will present the new techniques for joint health.
August Meeting:
The speaker for the August 14 meeting will be announced soon. Russ Buser continues to excel in securing top-notch speakers for the Club.
Monthly Meetings:
The Men’s Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 8:30 AM in the Ballroom. Meetings start with a breakfast of bagels, donuts, and coffee and conclude with a 50-50 drawing and an appeal for the Mustard Seed. Annual membership dues are $15.

The heat of the summer is upon us and all of the Pickleball Club’s opportunities to play continue. Each month is welcomed during our First Friday social events, and each day begins with Open Play
hours from 8:00-11:00 AM. Evening Open Play hours are 6:00-9:00PM, Monday through Friday. Court time outside of these hours is available for reservation through the
CourtReserve app.
Residents interested in learning the basics of the game can take advantage of classes spearheaded by Max Glickman. These classes will be scheduled when there is sufficient interest. Residents can either contact Max at 845-527-0726, or email the Pickleball Club at cascadespickleball@gmail.com for more information and to get put on a wait list for the next session. Planning has begun for the club’s highly anticipated Halloween Party, which will be held on Thursday, October 31. This year’s entertainment will be provided by Checkmate, a local and very popular band. Ticket sales will be held in September, with club members having first priority for tickets. Be sure to watch your emails and refer to the September Cascadian for exact sale dates.
Pickleball Club membership is open to any Cascades resident, and the dues remain $10 per calendar year. Please contact Marge Caputo to get signed up.
