LADY GOLFERS
The Monday Cascades Golf Group plays
at 18 hole courses nearby. We meet every
Monday at 10:00 AM at a nearby course.
During the season we play at Gator Trace
in Fort Pierce. The League is open to any
woman in the Cascades who would like to
join us. No handicap needed; just be someone
who likes to play and have fun. Interested or any
questions, contact Janet Wood. 878-3708.
CASCADES LADIES
PITCH & PUTT GOLF
The Cascades Ladies Pitch ’n Putt
League meets Tuesdays at 8:45 AM for
weekly tournaments.
Golfers randomly draw numbers to create each
week’s teams. We meet throughout the year
including the summer months. There is no weekly
commitment-golf on the Tuesdays that fit your
schedule.
Our goal is to have fun … come join us!
The Pickleball Club had
a lot to celebrate during
October, with construction
of our two new courts
beginning in the early part
of the month and then
closing out in October
with the ever-popular
Halloween Party.
Next up for the club will be the 4P’s
Friendsgiving event which will be held
on Saturday, November 8th. As always, this event,
which is being organized by Jeannie Tirrito, promises
to be enjoyed by all who attend.
As the weather continues to cool and darkness will
fall earlier with the end of Daylight Savings Time, the
hours for Open Play at the pickleball courts have been
adjusted. Morning Open Play will remain unchanged
and be from 8:00-11:00AM, however, the evening
Open Play will move to the timeslot of 3:00-6:00PM.
Court time outside of these hours may be reserved
by using the CourtReserve app. The club will again
attempt to hold several competitive events in and
around the Open Play hours, however, our ability to do
so may be impacted by the reduced “court hours” due
to construction activity.
During this construction activity, we ask that everyone
be mindful of safety considerations while in the area of
the courts and also that we should not be interrupting
the workers as they try to complete this project.
Any residents who are interested in pickleball lessons
should stop by John Koahou’s office at the tennis
pavilion to check on the availability of lessons that he
will be offering.
As always, we will welcome the month of November
during our First Friday social event on Friday,
November 7.
Pickleball Club membership is open to any Cascades
resident, and the dues remain $10 per calendar year.
Please contact Marge Caputo to get signed up.
