TO ALL MEMBERS We would like to report that the the VFRC has completed yet another year of operation growth and and and tributes to the the the men men and and and women in in in uniform and and and those on on the the frontlines keeping our communities safe The club reached its 500th
member recently-- welcome Coe Decker - - - a a a a former Marine from Desert Storm The Executive
Committee has been working on informative and entertaining plans for for the the 2026 year All residents of the the Cascades Community are always invited The future of the the club: Since its its inception the the VFRC has not required dues from its its members As a a a a a a result of of recent changes in in in club club fundraising
practices however and the the rising costs of of club club events the the VFRC will be instituting a a a a a a voluntary
dues of $10 annually
beginning in in in December These
dues are not mandatory All members regardless of contribution will remain
in in in active status within the the club We are simply
appealing to to members who enjoy the the the degree of content the the club provides to to help in in in in in supporting
continued operations going forward Donors may
make checks payable to to the VFRC and contact any of offi its officers or board to to deposit On that note we we would like to to discuss additional
steps we we are taking to to ensure longevity: receiving
a a a a a a a a a a a state exemption and federal designation as a a a a a a a a a a a nonprofit organization Lotteries or or or gambling more broadly are expressly banned in in in the state of ofi Florida Nonprofits that meet certain requirements such
as as veterans' organizations however can receive
an an an an an an exemption and and operate raffles and and 50/50s as as a a a a a a a a a a form of revenue legally Stay tuned for for more details All the best to our members for a a a a happy and healthy 2026 We look
