Our property management Client was doing
major renovations and upgrades to a cluster of
      commercial buildings. They embraced biophilic
design and wanted to incorporate plants and
      moss walls wherever possible.

Due to the limited light under the stairs and in
other areas, we designed and specified an illusion
      – a blending of live plants using Zamioculcas
Zamiifolia, replica plants including Leather Fern,
      Podocarpus, Agave, Bromeliads, and Tillandsias,
as well as preserved pole and mood moss, giving
the impression of them all being alive. What
      makes this design biophilic?

The interior plants throughout the central stairway
atrium provide a visual connection to nature.
Viewed from several vantage points and levels,
the shadows, textures and shapes create a sense
of mystery and invite the passerby to look closer
and discover what lies around the corner.
