Squash Team

Never should we repeat the same disappointment like last year. Our goal is crystal-clear — bringing
PolyU squash team to the final in USFHK.

Athletic success was somehow more mental than physical. Facing overwhelming pressure of
recapturing the top-notch position, strong-willed fortitude was nurtured among ourselves. We
cherished every opportunity of skills enhancement and exceptional attitude. We boosted our morale
and strengthen bonds. We cheered and whistled for our teammates in every match. Even though
there was no guaranteed accomplishment, all we wanted to do was to prove the value of endeavor.
That’s how we define success. It was about pushing your boundaries, limitations and corny beliefs.
With our dedication, a journey of vigor and vivacity was promised. Women’s Team successfully
achieved the 7th consecutive USFHK Championship while Men’s Team triumphed with 1st Runner-
up. All the glory could be ascribed to our dedication, discipline and most importantly, single-minded
determination to succeed. It was fervently convicted that perseverance and persistence led us to
the climax, as per our coach.

Thank you everyone for accompanying me in my final USFHK, with glory, smile and tears. May all
the success be with you and PolyU.
