The process of printing patterns with engraved wooden blocks is called
block printing. It is the earliest and simplest method of textile printing.

               1. Use block printing technique with vegetable pieces and make a
congratulations card for your friend or family.

                                               Material required:

lemon/onion pieces poster colours a flat dish
A4 size sheet of paper sketch pens

               Steps to follow:

               1. Fold the piece of paper in half.

               2. With the help of your teacher or parents, cut the pieces of onion or
                  lemon into equal halves.
               3. Take some colour of your choice in a flat dish.

               4. Dip a piece of onion/lemon in the colour and press it against the

                  paper to form an impression.
               5. You can repeat the process with different colours to make your design.

               6. You can also make borders with sketch pens to decorate the card.
