Preface
Wings of Wonder is an integrated theme-based learning
course, aligned to the new pedagogical and curricular
structure (5+3+3+4), proposed under the National Education
Policy (NEP) 2020. It caters to all five foundational years
of ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education), comprising
Nursery, LKG, UKG, Class 1 and Class 2. Each book covers
the three core subjects—General Awareness, Literacy and
Numeracy in Nursery to UKG, and Environmental Studies,
English and Mathematics in classes 1 & 2.
Wings of Wonder is also available with Hindi coursebooks.
Hindi workbooks are available for classes 1 and 2. For Nursery,
LKG and UKG, the coursebooks and the workbooks
are integrated.
Foundational years play a key role in a child’s growth,
development and learning. Experiences in the early years
have been found to affect a child’s physical, cognitive,
emotional and social development, thus facilitating the lifelong
learning process.
Wings of Wonder follows a multi-pedagogy approach,
containing theme-based content for each subject, giving way
to play-based and activity-based learning, followed by project
or enquiry-based approach.
