Meena was amazed at the variety of different creatures. She approached a turtle
who was swimming lazily.

Meena: (curiously) Hi! My name is Meena. I have come from a small pond.

Since when have you been living together in this sea?

Turtle: We have been staying here for a long time.

Meena couldn’t believe it.

Meena: But you are all so different. How can you all live together? All of you

are of different sizes, shapes and colours.

Turtle: (smiling) We know that but we like each other for what we are and
how we are. We have accepted each other, with our differences and

similarities. What you call as differences, we take that as our uniqueness.

The sea would be boring if we had only a single type of creature.

Meena was overjoyed to see that despite being so different, all were able to co-exist.
She smiled and thought ‘There is beauty in diversity.’
