Sources of Water
ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
Rain is the main source of water
on Earth. Rainwater fills up rivers,
ponds, lakes and oceans. Some of
this water also goes into the ground.
This is called groundwater.
We get this water by digging
wells or through handpumps or
tubewells.
