Word Tabernacle Church was organized in 2005 as a community mission church with 14 members and
has since expanded to a regional movement with a membership exceeding 3,000 individuals from every walk of life, educational level, employment, and marital status from 15 North Carolina and 6 Virginia counties.
Word Tabernacle Church has earned a broad public trust, emerging as one of the leading human development agencies in the Eastern North Carolina region, ensuring an improved quality of life in Rocky Mount and surrounding areas.
Why The Church?
The church is uniquely positioned as a “mediating structure” and acts as a liaison between individuals and institutions (public life, social service, business/industry, and government).
