Word Tabernacle Church was organized in 2005 as community mission church with 14 members and has sinc expanded to a regional movement reaching over 2600 individual and families from every walk of life, educational level, employmen and marital status in nash, Edgecombe, Wilson, Halifax, johnston wake, Guilford, Pitt, Franklin, and wayne counties.
