Beacons of Light

We are overflowing with gratitude as our 2025 FoC Mission ST MICHAEL CHURCH
Visitor program bursts into life!

It all began in January with the incredible hearts of St. Michaels from Prior
Lake, MN, leading the way—setting a powerful tone for the year ahead.
Right behind them came the passionate team from Waypoint Church in
North Carolina, carrying that same spirit of love and service. Then, a truly
monumental moment touched our souls with the visit of Bishop Folda and
Randy Thorson—an experience that filled us with deep inspiration and
renewed purpose. Following that, the dedicated hands of FOCUS Missions FOCUS MISSION
joined by a remarkable group of adults from Riverstone Church in Bismarck,
North Dakota, brought even more hope and light to our communities.

The mission visitors who travel to Chimbote, Peru, and the surrounding
communities carry a profound and sacred responsibility — they become
the hands and feet of our Lord and Savior. Their presence goes beyond mere
aid; it is a living expression of Christ’s love in action. By building homes, they
create not just shelter but a foundation of hope and stability where despair
once lived. They offer more than material support; they restore dignity to
those who have often been forgotten, honoring each person’s worth and
potential. Through their compassionate service, they forge deep, life-long PROVIDENCE PRESBYTERIAN
relationships that embody trust, respect, and genuine care.

Most importantly, they offer a hand up, empowering the poor to rise
with confidence and purpose, rather than simply giving a handout. This
mission is a beacon of light, transforming lives and communities with the
unwavering power of love, faith, and service.
