 Components of a Service Portfolio
The service portfolio represents the complete set of services managed or provided by a service provider. The portfolio is made up of the Service Pipeline and the Service Catalog.
The Service Pipeline contains services that are being developed or investigated.
The service catalog contains services that are in transition to live, or actually being sold. The service catalog also contains services that are still being delivered, but are taking no new customers. These services are identified within the catalog as retired (still being delivered, but no new customers).
