 Service Operation Lifecycle Stage
The Service Operation Lifecycle stage is where the customer first experiences the value that has been “strategized”, “designed-in”, and “safely transitioned” into the live environment. The customer receives value from the activities performed within each of these other lifecycle stages, but the customer doesn’t “experience” this value until they actually purchase and use the service or product.

Service Operation lifecycle stage is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of stability in the IT environment. Customers expect stability in the services that they have come to depend upon for performing their business processes. All IT environments perform their attempts at delivering stability within the context of the “often unstable” applications and service designs that have been implemented within their environment in the past.
