JAMBALAYA

1 lb. ground beef 1/4 tsp. pepper
2 C. chopped onions 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 C. chopped peppers 2 C. (16-oz.) canned tomatoes
1 T. chili powder 3 C. cooked rice
2 tsp. salt 1 C. grated cheese
In skillet, saute beef, onions and peppers with seasonings until meat is no longer
pink and vegetables are tender, stirring frequently to crumble meat. Add tomatoes and rice.
Top with cheese and bake at 350° until cheese melts completely. Serves 6 to 7 people
CUBE STEAK (Crock-Pot Recipe)

Cube steak 1 can beef broth
1 jar Heinz brown gravy
Brown cube steak in frying pan. Put brown gravy and broth in crock pot; make white
gravy from pan drippings after browning steak. Add white gravy to crock pot, stir well and
add cube steak,. Cook on low heat at least 4 hours. May cook longer.
CHILI AND BEANS

2 lb. hamburger 1 can tomato juice
3/4 C. chopped onion 2 cans kidney beans
1 can tomato sauce Salt and pepper
1 can tomato paste
Brown hamburger and onion in oil. Add other ingredients. Cook 1 hour on medium
heat.
