Backup
          What is Backup?




















          Backup and Recovery
          Backup-Backup is a utility which will protect our system from accidental lost.

          Storing or keeping our data or program files in separate safety location (may be in HDD or Tape
          Drive or CD or DVD or Backup Medias) is called as Backup.

          Restore – Taking our important data from backup file is called Restore. When accidentally our files
          deleted, you can restore (get) the data from backup file

          Commands for Backup in LINUX

             1.  tar (tape archive)
             2.  cpio (copy in and out)
             3.  dd (disk to disk)
             4.  dump

          #tar <options> <destination> <source>
          Options:-     -c  Create
                         -t  Table of the backup content
                        -x  extract the backup
                        -v  verbose
                        -f  file
                        -z  zip
