THROPY
UPPORTS THE PSP ASSOCIATION UK
What is PSP?
Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, or PSP, is a rare neurological condition that
progressively impacts balance, movement, vision, speech, and cognition.
PSP’s symptoms can be as diverse as the individuals it affects. While the loss of
balance, a fixed gaze, and cognitive changes are among the most common,
PSP can also manifest subtly, making it difficult to diagnose early. The PSPA aim
to shed light on these nuances, helping you and your loved ones identify and
manage this condition more effectively.
The PSPA is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of people living
with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD).
They provide information and support for people affected by PSP & CBD whilst
funding research into the causes, treatment, and eventually a cure.
At PSPA, the most powerful force in overcoming PSP & CBD lies in the community
it affects. Hence, they prioritise your voice, your experience, and your needs.
Their advocacy efforts strive to influence policy, raise awareness, and
drive meaningful changes that benefit those living with PSP & CBD.
Together, we’re not just learning about PSP; we’re leading the charge towards
a world where PSP & CBD are comprehensively understood, effectively treated,
and ultimately prevented.
Sadly, You or someone you know almost always have to be affected by a disease
for you even to become aware of it, and that is the case in our story as well.
My partner in business and life was diagnosed earlier in 2023, so I am using the
power of the business we are in to spread the word and hope to prevent others
from suffering from this without any known cures.
For every pair of boots sold on the chelseaboot.com website,
we will donate $1.00 to the PSPA. #shop4acause
