2008 Ontario Sired Racing Rewards

Woodbine HBPA Children’s Christmas Party
This year, the CTHS introduced a new bonus program valued at $120,000, where breeders of the top Ontario Sired foals competing in black type stakes races run in Ontario will be rewarded for their excellence. Offered through the Thoroughbred Improvement Program (TIP), at the end of each year’s racing season, the program will offer exciting rewards in six divisions to the breeder as follows:

1st Place $10,000 cash and $2,000 OSS Stallion Breeding Certi cate 2nd Place $5,000 cash and $1,000 OSS Stallion Breeding Certi cate

The breeding certi cate may be redeemed toward any registered Ontario Sire recognized by the Ontario CTHS and is valid for two years.
The program represents the following divisions:
Two-year-old llies/ Two-year-old- males
Three-year-old llies/ Three-year-old males
Fillies & mares four years old & up/ Males four years old & up

In addition, an award in the amount of $10,000 and a $2,000 OSS Breeding Certi cate will be presented to the breeder of the overall Ontario-Sired Champion, representing the top earner of all the division winners.
While the program currently supports the above six divisions, the CTHS is looking toward expanding this program in the future to include further divisions such as Sprinters, Turf Horses, etc.

HbPA Trainer and Assistant Trainer Testing schedule 2009
Winter Hours for Woodbine HBPA Backstretch Office
Applications for Trainer and Assistant Trainer testing will be available at the track of ce in February 2009. All applications must be submitted two weeks prior to the test dates. Only complete applications will be accepted.
The Woodbine HBPA backstretch of ce will remain open 7 days a week until December 19, 2008 - Tuesday to Saturday 7am - 3pm; Sunday 7am - 2pm and Monday 8:30am - 1pm.
The of ce will be open from 7am - 3pm on December 22, 23 & 24 and will close for the season at 3pm on December 24.
