I learnt about the reward for persisting in Preschool. Sometimes, all I wanted to
do was go out to the playground but my teacher would always say, “Fela,
finish your work quickly, then you can go to the playground” and I decided to
do just that! I persisted at my tasks even though some were challenging and
soon learnt to finish my work quickly and enjoy my play time too! Thank you to
all my teachers, I will continue to make you proud in Year One!
The most interesting part of being in Preschool was learning so many things
with all the materials. I thought I was just playing but my teachers said the
materials were helping me to learn; I found out that they were right! The
playground was always fun; I and my friends even enjoyed helping the little
children with the swing. We were called the 'Older friends' and we learnt to
care for others around us. Now, I've grown even older and I'm ready to learn
new things in Year One!
I made many friends in Preschool and we were all happy together there. I
looked forward to Circle time every morning as we all took turns to tell stories
or talk about anything we wanted. I really liked that. Working with the
'younger friends' became easier for me when my teacher taught me about
listening with understanding and empathy. I will miss my class in preschool but
I'm glad a lot of my friends will be in Elementary school with me. Year One, here
I come!
My time in Preschool went by so quickly. I enjoyed making new friends and
working with all the materials in class. Do you know that if you think flexibly,
you can create many designs with some of the materials? Well, I learnt that! We
also had a lot of interesting stories to read and cosy naptimes. I will miss my
teachers and friends but I'm looking forward to Year One too!
My brother had told me many interesting things about Greensprings school, so I
was really looking forward to being in the same school with him. I quickly
learnt how to use my thinking hats at all times and persist when I'm trying
something new; I simply have to try and try until I get it right! I made many
friends and play time was always fun. Now, it's time to move to Year One and I
am excited about all the new things I will explore! Thank you to all my
Preschool teachers and friends, I will miss you.
