7. The finished knot.




                  Untying: The Sink Stopper is difficult to untie and may have to be cut.

                  Sometimes, though, it can be untied by creating little bits of slack in small
                  stages. Pull alternately on: i) the opposite sides of the crossing turn; ii) one

                  side of the crossing turn and the working end just before it passes through

                  the bight; and iii) the other side of the crossing turn and the working end
                  before it passes through the bight. Eventually, you may gain enough slack to

                  release the working end from the bight.
