1.0 Introduction to the Health & Safety Statement
There is no specific definition of Health and Safety in any libraries or online. Basically
Health and Safety comes from a sets of rules and regulations which are enshrine in Law
in order to provides safety from accidents and injuries from occurring at the work
places or in public places.
The Safety, Health and at Work Act 2005 places for
occupational Health & on workplaces even you are a soletrader . Act
defines role of employers, employees and the Government in framing and
implementing occupational safety and health policy in Ireland. Future First Steps will
comply with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work and all other subsequent relevant
legislation that will follow. In so far as reasonably possible, adequate resources in
relation to Safety, Health and Welfare matters will be made available.
This year, 2021, has brought unprecedented challenges with regards to Health and Safety
for all workplaces across Ireland with the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Health and Safety issues for the duration of this pandemic will have a primary focus on
protecting all from the threat and spread of the Covid-19 virus, while also being aware
of our overall responsibilities under the emergency Health and Safety Regulations.
Future First Steps has adapted all the policies as set forth by the Government and
NPHET. Future Fist Steps strategies will evolve as public health guidance changes.
The Health & Safety Statement sets out a proactive safety management system. It
also deals with the consultation with employees on safety issues, occupational health
issues, the management and the training standards applied. In addition, this Health
& Safety Statement applies to visitors, volunteers, interns as well as Future First
Steps customers
