The shrine’s only drawback is that it is so popular,
                                                              especially in summer, that thousands of pilgrims
                                                              may be hiking the trails on a single day. However, the
                                                              paths are long and meandering, so there are islands
                                                              of solitude amid the throngs.
                                                                There are many unforgettable sights in Japan, and
                                                              Fushimi Inari is high on that list.
