Speed and flexibility with minimal infrastructure expenditure is what

THE PROJECT
A sandwich supplier to a major supermarket who wanted to increase output
from their existing factory .
OUR SOLUTION
T o supply two modular complexes, linked to the factory, allowing the customer to
dismantle existing internal cold rooms, thus increasing production space, and then
improve their process flow plus add a new packing machine.
One complex was a three-bay modular chilled complex with a single loading dock
attached, for bread intake. The second was a separate four bay modular chilled
complex, but with two loading docks attached, for finished goods awaiting dispatch.
An additional 300 square meters of an additional floor for the chilled p oduct but the
major objective was not additional chill capacity: it was productivity and on a follow-up
call one year later it was confirmed by the site management that the project had resulted
in an additional 70,000 sandwich packs being produced per day.
In the words of the site director, “this was more than strategy; it was a ‘game changer’
for this site!”
