Monitoring Your Account(s)...

Aside from regularly logging into your email account, and 2-step authentication,

there's a couple other ways to check up on activity (suspicious or not) within your
            email account.

Starting off, you should of course have the mobile notifications enabled for ANY

email account that you use or even own. You should already have a mobile
number attached to your account for security purposes, as mentioned earlier

This is just taking it a step further to let you know any time anything may happen

on your account. Often times this is located in the settings page of any email
service provider that actually supports it.

Another thing to keep in mind...

Some email services (and even other websites like Facebook) allow you to
monitor the recent log in activity on your account. This will display the IP address

and location of the last few connection / log-ins to your email account
