      Manrope Knot



        A decorative stopper knot made
        by tying a Crown Knot (see pp.54–55)
        on top of a Wall Knot (see pp.56–57).
        Traditionally tied on the ends of handrail
        ropes used when boarding ships.
        Can be doubled but care must be
        taken that each strand is positioned
        on the same side as the previous one.
